As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.
Today is what everyone calls Black Friday. It is the day many Americans go out and battle the crowds for spectacular deals on gifts for Christmas. The day starts very early, the crowds are maddening, the hours are arduous, the sale flyers are misleading, and most often the deals are limited. Most people start out with a perfect plan but end up with less than perfect results!
Today’s passage reminds us that God’s way is perfect, His word is flawless, and He shields those who take refuge in Him. For someone with Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease, these words are priceless! When the struggles are too difficult to handle on my own, I simply turn to the one who knows me best; my Heavenly Father. He alone can protect me from all that Alzheimer’s throws my way. Without Him I’d be exposed in my battle against Alzheimer’s disease and harm would surely come my way.
If you are struggling today with some form of dementia, take refuge behind His shield. He will protect you, comfort you, and guide you for His way is perfect. Spend time in His Holy Word and learn to trust Him. He loves you dearly and wants to part of your journey. Trust in Him for He will never forsake you.
